This 1885 small 5/5, mislabeled as a Large 5/5 is a PCGS top 3 coin!

PCGS population report shows one MS64, one AU58 and a AU55...

It's mine now for $600 USD!

That was the original listing price. ebay doesn't show the final buy it now offer that was accepted.

Sometimes I wonder how much these minor variations are actually worth if few in the coin community bother to look for them.

1 eager buyer does not dictate or decide the value of a market.

The Canada 5c 1885 Small 5/5 is one of the best known varieties of the Victorian Era. It's not "minor"...

Canadian Coin News Trends of course got the scarcity and values all wrong..it is not the scarcest 1885 variety by far, nevertheless, they are condition scarce in EF+

What's perplexing is how PCGS got it wrong, they usually get these right
