This is kinda weird, but if I know anything about people, I don't think I'm the only one who has some odd or quirky sort of roll searching superstition or ritual they have while roll mining. C'mon, let's hear it!

I'll go first: When I first started roll searching, I visited a yard sale that happened to sell a pair of bronze looking Kennedy bookends which is a sculpture of him from the shoulders up. I bought them for 50 cents (how fitting!) So my gf and I bring them out when we search for halves hoping he'll attract his brethren. LOL, man, that is pretty strange isn't? Also, every time we find a keeper, we sing some stupid song. I know, I know, pure cheese. But its fun times.

Okay, go for it.

OK I will go for it. Have only crossed my fingers once or twice before roll searching .The bookend thing kinda reminds of the Bingo ladies with all there good luck things in front of them that rub and chant to. I do admit I have sang I'm in the money a few times.

Seeking: Now that you mentioned it we need help.

I never look at the rolls in the car. As much as I want to just slightly peel back one of them, I won't do it for fear that the Kenneydies will be clad (as if what is in the roll would change depending on where I opened it lol).

I have to listen to certain songs while opening rolls. With Halves (just finished off $350 btw) I put "The Dirty Glass" by The Dropkick Murphey's on repeat the whole time. If you know the song you realize that it is an odd choice for roll hunting lol. Months back, I had 3 or 4 rolls in a row loaded with silvers and the song happened to be on--it stuck :)

For Nickels I listen to "I'm a Coin Show Junkie" by Christopher T. Connell. Donwload that if you've never heard it....

Pennies I go with a Taking Back Sunday playlist and "unsearched lots" of ebay and the like get the Beatles.

Bingo...lol. I gotta get me one of those troll dolls with the wild hair, except instead of a jewel on their belly, I'll replace it with a half.

HAHA, oh man! I try my hardest not to sneak a peek in the car, but when I get CWRs, I just absolutely HAVE to look at a couple of them just to see if I didn't get someone's dump. If I find even one of anything (proof, >2002, silver, etc) then I know its unsearched. I shouldn't though, they might just change into dreaded clads! =P Good superstition. I like it.
