Andre, I checked out the site you efer to, ( I have seen it efore, but, never paid much attention to), however this time I was looking, and wonder what is "Catala'"? I read, and understand it very easily, and the Spanish, goes without saying. Is Catala' a dialect, used in Canada? The French, of course is not so easily read and inderstood, but I do get the "gist" of the conversation. Thamks for your help,
Dick

LD: when in doubt, Wiki it.

Catalan is the language spoken in the region of Catalonia, basically the north-eastern quarter of Spain. It is "similar to Spanish", in the same way that Portuguese can be said to be similar to Spanish.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Sap, thank you for the info. I thought it had to be something lke that. I read it easily, and not so easily, the Portugese. not that much exposure. I wonder if it is also similar to the "spanish_Basque"?
LATER: After having read the reference you gave, I was amazed at the differences in the "language". I would have enjoyed a "tour" at least in Rota, Spain. I never got out of the Pacific very far. Bankok, and every "rock in the Pacific"
