Someone spent $535 for an 1877 Indian Head cent coaster.

Either they were very generous in supporting the pets or they didn't pay attention to the auction.

Yep! Seems like somebody didn't read the auction!

I guess it'll be difficult to rationalize a refund, which is undoubtedly coming.

Maybe they wanted to support disabled and abandoned pets?

Wouldn't you love to have a picture of their face when they open that package?

Ok, here's what I can't figure out. A person looking for this coin, I would assume (yeah, yeah, I know, assume) is an IHP collector. Wouldn't an IHP collector look at that, and immediately say "That's not real"? Even if it was the correct size, the thing screams fake coin to me, and I don't know squat about Indians. Why can't we all find these buyers?
Rest in Peace

Hopefully it wasnt a birthday present bought by a non-collector. Not such a great surprise.

Well come on guys an 1877 IHP with FOUR diamonds for only $500? How could you possibly go wrong? The toning is magnificent, I wonder if he's going to put it in his Dansco album or have it sent to a TPG to get graded. Someone should find out
