I'm not good at grading 21's as they seem to all be lightly struck. Just wanted to say that's a really nice Peace dollar!

Thank for the nice comments. I am not good at grading these myself. I had emailed the pics to another member here and he said it was a really nice strike for a 21. He suggested I post it for thoughts or opinions from the community.

That's a nice gift from your neighbor.

I'll say MS63. Luster looks muted but it doesn't look rubbed. Great eye appeal. Congratulations.

Typical strike for a 21 which often makes it difficult to assess circulation. This one is showing disturbed luster in the fields which is the first indication of circulation. If anything, the strike on the reverse is slightly light, but the feathers toward the 7:00 position shows breaks in those feathers further establishing circulation.

Over all a AU-53, no hint of cleaning or dipping.

It certainly was. She is an elderly lady who my wife and I help out from time to time. She has given me a few Morgans in the past. She knows I love coins. I wish it would grade out MS-63 but it is a circulated coin. I know we see so many of the 21's with weaker strikes and my photography skills makes this one difficult to accurately grade.

Pictures look a little different when looking at them on my phone screen and my computer monitor. I'll revise to AU55. Still beautiful.

Congratulations!
