I had an empty Capital proof holder and figured I would put together a year set. I have done 1943 1944 and 1945 Phila but not this nice.
Had a Woody Lincoln that needed some neighbors. My 1941 Walker is on the way. These are probably a mix of AU or BU coins that compliment each other.
Guess a 1942 P is in order. I have the nickel dime and quarter already and another empty Capital holder for that.
So far ...

How about a 1942P LWC in AU with a peeled up/retained Lam one cracked planchet south in front of Abe's face...one of those 42S Jeff's w/ lightning crack sounds good...?

Nice. Be careful. If you start doing mint sets, they will become top of the want list coins.

Already picked out a 42 and 46 Lincoln and of course I have the nickels.
Now I see I already had the 42 set made up already so I will concentrate on the 1946 P which is good since I have some of these singles already and that will use up the last of my Capital holders.
I think I can upgrade some of these shown below a little bit anyway without shopping.

I can look at these as the Philadelphia Wartime Coins from the Big One.
Although the war was going on for some time between other countries, the US declared War against Japan on December 8, 1941, the day after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. The war ended September 2, 1945 after the atomic bombings over Japan August 6, 1945 on Hiroshima and three days later on Nagasaki August 9, 1945.

Those are nice looking sets.

I made one of those Whitman sets for my son using 1908 coins.
