I've had this penny for a while. I purchased some coins off of Esty and the guy sent me a bag of "unsearched wheat pennies" for free. I was really shocked and I couldn't believe it. The date is so worn I doubt it really is it but I like to pretend. The date looks like 14 and the mint make is definitely a d.
What would you grade it? I'm thinking F02

If you are saying this is a 1914D, then you need better photos because I only see an illegible date and no mintmark

I ordered a lens to help take better pictures with my phone. For now lets just say it's 1914 d what would you grade it? I will post a close up picture when I get the lens.
The mint mark is definitely a D the date however resembles 1914 but when things seem too good to be true they usually are.

accepting your theoretic date, I would say this may make P01. But I would really think it is ungradable.

Can't really grade it do to be too worn away from being in circulation so long. It would get the lowest grade if it was gradable.
Errers and Varietys.
Rest in Peace

Without a readable date or other specifically dates characteristic(are none) it is a slick, wouldn't even rate a PO1 from TPGs. Now with coin in hand and my scope I may coax out sometime, been able to one out of three with 3 digit #. Question: can you see any VDB under shoulder?

There is no sign of VDB on the shoulder the first three digits are visible with the naked eye it's 100% 191 it's just the last digit that's questionable
I thought the VDB wasn't put into the shoulder until 1918?

As you look at your coin - what obverse die pattern # are you seeing? Below are the known genuine date/mintmark arraignments.

It looks like #1 to me the mint mark is close to the tail of the 9 the first 1 is higher than the 9 and the second 1 is noticeably lower than the first one. The last number looked like a four but I think I strained my eyes because now I'm seeing every number 1-9

If it is a 1914D, get it slabbed. That's a great lowball coin.
