Hi All,

I am having intermittent issues with the computer staying online. I am getting booted on and off and it is annoying. Sometimes I have no access for a few hours at a time.

Please forgive me if I fall behind here. I will do what I can to check in here until I have this problem worked out.

Thanks,
Bill

Sounds like your NIC is Horked.. Unless your provider is having issues. Reinstall your nic and see if that clears up the issue.

99% of "intermittent" issues are with the ISP and not the computer. If your computer worked yesterday, it will either work today or not at all. All you can do is grit your teeth and be patient.

superdave, I agree! I don't know how many are "hooked up" with AOL, but they are about as bad as it gets, at times. I have had the sam thing happen, and can't tell if it is my broadband, my AOL, or the computer. I uaually go to anothe unit ant check. that way it proves the computer is okay, but won't clear the ISP or BB. So as a last resort, I go to the unit with a modem, and try the "dial-up", to see if it is okay. There are times when AOL gets so overloaded, it has to "drop the vball, now, and then">

Bill, I agree, and when it is "down", it gives us a chance to look at our coins!
