Crazyb0, thanks for your comment. I always enjoy reading your posts. Most of lower end coins are from my existing collection, many purchased over 20 years ago. I have many expensive holes left, so I need to tread water carefully. Coinfrog, I think I might just keep Pilgram as is... Slider23, I will heed to your advice and slow down. It's just so much fun looking at coins that you need. I have been looking at thousands of pictures every night for the last couple of months. I need a rest

macmercury, Thanks for your advice. Very good idea about the second 7070. (It scary proposition) However, upgrading will be fun. Beefer518, Thanks for the compliment. As I mentioned above, I might keep Pilgram as is... As for BTW, I have several of them. However, I looked at them for the last 25 years, so I think I want something different. I only have 4 commemorative holes are there are dozens of interesting ones.

Connor, I will heed to members' advice and keep Pilgram as is... I will look for a nice raw Pilgram. Although this one is not terribly expensive, your method will definitely be used until I get another one.

Looking good so far. Quote: Second, I think jbuck is the one who recommended purchasing empty sheet for 7070 album where you can take a photo of slabbed coin before cracking it out and storing it for the record with 7070 album. I have two slabbed coins waiting to be cracked open. I cannot take credit for the original idea, but I certainly liked it when it was presented... http://goccf.com/t/279959&whichpage=3#2383635

Even though I have a bunch of Dansco albums, I didn't know what the 7070 album was until I looked at JBucks collection about a month ago. I think I'm up to about 56 of the 75-76 holes, a lot of them I had sitting in a box in flips, but have bought a few lately. Gave me a way to look at the coins w/o looking through boxes... The last ones are going to be brutal on the budget, so it might be a while... Your collection is very nice! Great job assembling those.

Thanks mtuma3. I'm in the same situation as yours. I need problem-free seated & Trade dollars and they aren't cheap. Perhaps you can upload photos of your 7070

I always enjoy looking at type sets. Thanks for posting yours. I think your off to a good start. I guess I am thinking different than some of the other that have posted here. If I bought that Pilgrim for my type set, then I would crack it out, and put it in the album. I think it is graded correctly and no real reason not to crack it. If it was a higher grade coin, MS 65 or better, I might think different. I think it would look great in your 7070. In the future you can always swap them out. Then you could put the Pilgrim in your Commemorative half dollar album you will start some day. I have switched mine several times. Right now I have Presidents. Washington, Madison, Lincoln and Grant. Jefferson in my commemorative dollar hole. In my Intercept shield album, I went with all modern proofs. I hope we can see more of your set as you fill those empty holes.
