Any feedback on this Mint Mark is appreciated. Not sure if it's just wear or else!

To me if correct, it looks like a RPM. Have you checked on Variety Visa or doubleddie.com? You might want to check. Go to your year of your quarter and mintmark. Here's the link. doubleddie.com/1237661.html :)

Because of being no matches, then I am not sure what it is exactly. I still think it might be a RPM, but damaged. Let's see what the others think. If it is a real RPM, then send it to John Wexler.

Really hard to tell from all the wear - even if it turned out a PRM I don't see much if any premium from that condition.
Rest in Peace

Definitely a tough call, and I understand why you would ask.

I'm not seeing metal displacement indicative of a hit. Perhaps a die chip. It certainly gives the first impression of an RPM.

Check this out - Found it from Wexler's RPM page - http://doubleddie.com/1237661.html (I know mentioned before but easier this way to just click the link)

1935-s WRPM-001 Or may just be MD

If the rest of the coin looks like this, I'd suggest a RPM slightly to the north since there are no signs of Strike Doubling.

Washington quarters have lots of RPM's, but most are too insignificant to merit a FS designation.

Thank you all for your input.
Mark, thanks for the link, that's pretty close.
paralyse, the rest of the coin is the same, no signs of Strike Doubling on devices.
I agree it is a tough One to call, having all that wear.

To me it looks more like a moved lamination peel or something on the coin? If the edges of that affected area can move, then it maybe a lamination? If firmly attached, it might be soldier? Stuff gets struck onto a coin or put on a coin.

If it is a lamination, you might want to leave it attached or if it comes off save the scrap. If it doesn't move , then it might be something else. It is still worth silver scrap. So don't return it to circulation.

Coop,

Thank you for the demo. very interesting.

The surface is solid with not excess metal movement.I agree it's worth silver scrap.
