As the title says this is the first nickel that I've found where the clash is in the ribbon. It's also slightly in the field,But the strongest part is in the ribbon. Any advice is greatly appreciate!
The reason that area was affected is that the obverse die was previously over polished. Note how much of the loop of the bow was polished away? So when a new clash was added to the obverse die, from the reverse die, it altered the mid portions of the designs. I would save it because of the new clash on an over polished die. Unique find. I would have probably missed that one. (as a clash on that area doesn't normally happen, so I would probably have not noticed it before)
