Loonie OH loonie how I love thee,
You took the dollar bill from me.
Now you are part of what we are,
It sure takes alot of you to buy a car.
$8.85 will cost 10 of you,
Something here is askew.
You jingle in my pocket,
One day, my collection, HAWK it.
It won't be long 'til we see whats new,
It sure is fun collecting you.

I know.... don't quit the day job.
And I do not know where that came from.

Not too shabby!

I can't even think of what search terms to use but, there is an old thread here with some poetry (about coins?). Maybe someone else will be able to remember/find what I'm thinking of.

Also about the day job thing.

Poetry for our coins. Poetry always indicates excessive interest. I enjoyed it.

$8.85 + 13% tax is $10.00. 10 loonies to buy something at $8.85 is correct

I saw the title and thought ... " I bet that loonielewy started this " then clicked.
13% tax ! It must be a ballad.
I tried singing it to the tune of Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' you know, that Titanic song and it kind of worked.
