Hello ,
I bought this byzantine coin from a friend who said it was from the Basil II period . It's my first coin and I really don't know if it's a real coin , I couldn't find anything that looks like it on the net , but it may be just me ! Thank you for any opinions .

Looks good to me, although Byzantine isn't my most known series. I'm sure you'll get more precise answers.

If you can cut all the background on your photos, it allows us to see the coin better.

The coin is Byzantine. Depending on the weight it's either a Class A2 or A3 Anonymous Folles. If the weight is over 20 grams than it's a A2, if 9 or 10 grams an A3.

The legend reads: Jesus Christ, King of Kings.

A2 is attributed to joint rule of Basil II and Constantine VIII
A3 is attributed to sole rule of Constantine VIII
