Most were struck on behalf of private sponsors and sold by the sponsors vs. direct sales from the Mint. About a year ago, within a thread about the Ben Franklin Firefighters medal, I provided a list of medals struck and sold by the Mint. Jefferson bronze and silver bicentennial ( 2 pc ) Young Astronauts bronze and silver unc and proof ( 4 pc ) Set of 4 2003 silver Wildlife Refuge medals ( no bronze Bald eagle ) 2011 P and W Sept 11 medals 2016 Liberty 2017 Liberty The Franklin Firefighters medal has been put off a number of times over something else I bought instead. Eventually I'll have that and maybe a couple other silver bicentennials. I got my favorites out of the way. I do like these 2016 and 2017 Liberty medals the best.
