I found a couple of these in a roll of 1963-D cents. The doubling shows below the L (kinda looks like two extra bars), to the left of I GO of IN GOD, plus left side of first and last T's in TRUST.

There is a lot of similarity to DDO-003, but that coin shows no signs of I GO doubling and my coin has no doubled bar down the side of the first T in TRUST. This coin has a die chip on column 2 (although the others I found do NOT have this) but none of my coins have a die chip on column 12. This coin shows a light die crack on the right cornice although most of the ones I found do not show this.

So the coins I have show a slightly different die stage, but nothing matches any of the DDO varieties on any of the web catalogs. Of course, of the 49 DDO varieties on the Wexler site only 7 of them actually have photos to look at (two of which are "Best of" varieties).

So, any help with this coin would be appreciated. Thanks!

It's likely one of the 40 or so doubled dies that do not have pics on doubleddie.com. Your coin does not match any listed on varietyvista or coppercoins. I don't believe there is a way to figure out what # this is without mailing it in to Wexler.
Rest in Peace

Actually when I said the coin didn't match any of the varieties on any of the web catalogs I meant that I went through every single one of them from VV, DD.com and CC with the coin under a microscope and looked at every die scratch and mint mark positioning available. I wouldn't have posted it as a possible new variety without having done that. I have a feeling Tanman is probably right about this one, that without sending it to Mr. Wexler I will never know exactly what it is. The only other option I can see is that it is a different die stage of DDO-003 which doesn't really make sense to me as this would likely have to be an earlier die stage and the I GO doubling worn off on the DDO-003 online photos, but then how did the vertical bar on the T in TRUST show up later as it is pretty clear on the DDO-003?

Mr. Wexler has determined that this coin is 1963-D WDDO-033 (not a new listing). I sent in two examples for him to attribute and he put up photos on his website of one of them so now we can ID this one without sending it in. His work is much appreciated.

Good eye and nice to have pics on Mr. Wexler's site. I'll be honest; I would have never seen this and would have just put this in the "nice early '60s pile." It is so subtle you have to really be looking hard for this type of die work.
