1955 Nickel W/ Smooth Reverse - Coin Community Forum

toyzz New Member United States 35 Posts	Posted 09/09/2017 7:21 pm Hi Guys. Hope all is well. Anyone want to hazard a guess at what happened to this '55 Jefferson that just came from a Loomis roll? It weighs 2.5 oz and the reverse is completely smooth without a mark on it. In the old days, we used to put pennies on the train tracks and get them back the next day all stretched out and smooth, but this nickel is still the same shape, so I was wondering how someone completely got rid of the details on the reverse without really affecting the front?
