Ive had this quarter for a while I got in a vending machian.
It was real shinny but I didnt put it in a plastic sleave so it is getting tarnished. What can you tell me about it.

The obverse looks like a normal circulated example for the grade, worth silver value only.

Usually when inquiring it's a good idea to show both the obverse and reverse of the coin in question.

If that is just haze from storing it wrong you might be able to get rid of it by soaking in pure acetone for maybe an hour a side. Rinse well with distilled water, pat it dry with a very soft cloth, and put it in a coin acceptable 2X2 for proper storage. A 1964 quarter is always worth it's silver content.

Ok I will. Now.
I need to do that with all of them.
What about old coins like 1935 -38 do I do anything to them or not?

Truthfully can't really tell you without a picture to see if they would benefit from that. Some nice old original patina coins should be left alone while others that are cruddy or dirty might help them. If in doubt just post a picture and I'm sure someone will help you out.

No like buttons on this forum.I can never remember why - something about so this forum doesn't turn into a popularity contest. It's in the forum rules somewhere.

Your quarter is called a Washington quarter . As said, it is average circulated and just worth melt for it's 90% silver . Don't forget to take photos of bout sides of a coin in question .

(IF) anyone uses acetone, make sure it is 100% PURE not nail polish remover unless it says on the bottle that it is pure.
