i think I found a double die reverse on this 1983 ...what do the experts see ?

The last image show Machine Doubling on the 'T' on STATES. Not a doubled die. The overall look of the devices show me a normal coins devices. On a doubled die, you will see the devices enlarged. On Machine Doubling it will alter the normal devices by reducing them in size.

Note this 1983 devices on 'ONE'. The over all size of the devices are normal. They are slightly reduced by MD.

On the 1983P-1DO-002, you can see the devices are enlarged in size:

On the 1983P-1DO-001 you can see the hub made a spread in the devices between to two different hubbings:

But note the overall size of the devices on the 002 and 001 compared with the MD normal sized devices. MD alters a normal coin devices by reducing them in size. The doubling on a doubled die is on the die not created during the strike, not created by striking a second time. It is on the die, thus the term 'Doubled Die'. Hope this helps.

well ,,,thks for the info about double die reverse on the 1983 lincon cent ... I think this one looks like the one one the pic .... what do the experts see ?
