IMO they all appear to be MD and not DDO's or DDR's

All are MD. Notice the reduced design sizes, shelving or shaving effects, all this is signs of Strike Doubling. The difference between true hub doubling and Strike Doubling is...time. When was this error caused. True hub doubling is done by the making of the dies, the different stages of "hubbing" which causes a shifting movement of where the hubs were imprinted. Strike Doubling is just that, at time of coin being struck a movement occurs, a twisting, a bouncing motion like a hammer hits a nail and rebounds to release energy but doesn't necessarily hit again in st same spot. OK?

The 1940d is machine damage from one of those coin rolling machines. The penny looks like a lamination error to me. Nice find

That lamination on the penny is nice. The rest are MD. Do a search on this forum as reading through a lot of the other discussions gives a good idea of what MD looks like and how to detect it. BTW

Thank you every body! I have been looking at some of the discussions as well as watching all of Coop's videos on YouTube. Eventually it will sink in. As of now I'm still a little confused but learning#128526;

I have a 1913 s type 2 Indian head nickel that I would like opinions on regarding what grade everyone would give it. can I do that here? or do I need to start a new topic?

You would need to start a new topic in the modern classical coin grading forum because if you post it here it wouldn't match your title to this thread and it would throw everyone off :)
Edit:Sorry about that it's the classical coin grading forum

Quote: I have a 1913 s type 2 Indian head nickel that I would like opinions on Quote: You would need to start a new topic in the modern coin grading forum If you have a Buffalo nickel to post for grading opinions, it should be in "U.S. Classic Coin Grading", not Modern. If you open "All Forums" the subtext for each one tells you what should be posted there. Find the correct forum page for the coin, open it, and click "New Topic". Then you can create a topic to ask opinions of the Buff and it's in the right place. If you are not asking for grade opinions but, error opinions, then it should be created from the U.S. Classic Variety & Error forum, not Grading. If it's a more general question about the coin, it can be in the main U.S. Classic Coin forum. If all else fails, the forum staff can move the topic to the most appropriate (sub)forum.
