Not sure how to quote on this forum...

Bret, all your points are valid. I have considered that point regarding security over the many many years I've had this site up, at least with the custom knives (which are worth alot more then the coins I have). I have tried to figure out a different domain name but nothing I have tried to get has been available since creating it. While I don't keep most of my collectables here, it still matters not if someone breaks in and takes something else. Something I will continue to brainstorm and hopefully come up with a better solution (or a better domain name). In the world of custom knives its important to build a name for yourself to get ahead and that is where I am coming from. I understand with coins, there are many many more of them out there and its a HUGE world compared to the custom knife world. Overall I agree that it could be more of a problem with the gold.

Regarding CAC, I agree that its not wise to pay some of those premiums.. however as a collector at heart if I see something that I am very attracted to I will sometimes pull the trigger even if the number isn't perfect. Sometimes the gratitude of owning and admiring a piece in person makes up for the premium. That said, I don't search for coins with CAC stickers, I just search for what I like, stickered or not. I am not convinced all my coins are CAC worthy, but a few of them definitely are worth a shot when I get around to it. I think when it comes to selling, the CAC sticker may not increase value, but may make the sale more likely to happen. Who knows! I am still learning.

Thanks for all your comments folks!

My favorite coin design is probably a Gold Indian 2 1/2, 5 and the other one, the $10.00. Beautiful collection.
I also looked closely at your folder Damascus knives. Wow. Great website too.
