Hey folks. I have not been active in the community for some years now... pretty much since Johnny passed. He was one of the only folks I knew of like me, who almost exclusively collected $2.5 indians. I had sold my collection around that time, and recently started it up again. I wanted to post pictures for fun, and feedback both negative and positive is always welcome. I don't make a large income but I spend all my money on my collectables. Aside from these coins I collect custom handmade knives. Let me know what you think..... Here is a link to a page where I have images of my current collection. I am looking for specific feedback on the direction I am taking. Thanks! http://www.jonbrandcollection.com/a...-gold-coins/

The only way to come up with negative feedback for that is to fabricate it.

Wow! I looked hard, as I've purchased a couple of these this year, and I couldn't find a thing with any of your pieces to whine about.
These Little Indians seem to vary a good bit even within the same grade, and all of yours appeared CAC worthy.
It's a true inspiration to see such a beautifully assembled set. Thank you for sharing.

Wow thanks guys, your comments are inspiring. I am not sure why but I have always been very attracted to this particular coin. In general coin collecting is too tedious, and the learning curve is to much for me.. so I just focus on one or two that I really enjoy such as this series. I also like toned morgans and indian head pennies but nothing to show off at the moment.
I have NOT yet looked for an 11D and am not sure I ever will. I buy what is attractive to me and a low grade 11d most likely wont attract me enough to spend $5000+ on. But who knows. I am sure a time will come when I will need to complete this set, in one way or another. I did buy the second and semi-key, a 1914 in MS64 and I will always be looking for a nicer one then I have.. but much more interested in that then the 11d.

Super collection @JB! I don't have specific feedback on the direction you are going, but one thing that I would like is if your website pics showed close-ups of all of the coins, rather than the whole slab. With many of the current coin pics, it almost feels like the slab is part of the reason for your collection. Maybe that is true, and if it is, then you are doing it exactly right.

I'm not much on 3rd party grading, but I think you're wise to buy only certified US Indian gold coins. It's an insurance policy that they're real and were not improperly cleaned. Virtually any quality coin is going to be certified anyway. Quote: all of yours appeared CAC worthy. I agree here, but this is yet another example of why I don't find a 4th party certification like CAC worthwhile. My advice is to buy the ones you like as you obviously have good taste, but don't pay significantly extra for a CAC stickered coin. From a security standpoint, I'd be wary of putting my name on the internet along with pictures of gold coins. Unfortunately, there are lots of predators out there and it only takes one.
