I was just hoping to get some general opinions about this coin with regard to grade & such. Also, I was just wondering if the Krause listings for this type of coin were accurate. Is this much appreciation for this type of coin amongst collectors?

The grade is tough to tell with the scans, but I'd say at least AU. Typically you'd see the first signs of circulation on the braid and shoulder of the queen. Your coin looks pretty clean there. The fields also look pretty clean. Unfortunately, the scans make it difficult to tell if there is any luster left.

As far as collectability goes; this coin was meant for circulation. There are plenty of examples available for sale on ebay, but not many in such good condition. With few comparators, determining a price is difficult. Here's an example of a higher grade cent from heritage:

I believe it can be quite pricey especially in a condition like that. Nice coin there - I like it.

Wow, thanks for the info on the value! Actually it does have a lot of original luster, so I agree that it has to be at least an AU.
