I need an 1859 Large Cent for my Canadian Type Set. I am interested in this particular one but would like your thoughts on variety, originality and grade.

Hi Jim

From the picture you have listed,it look to me as to a Late form norrow 9 as to the grade I would say EF would be worth about $ 14.00

yes, I agree, very nice coin, and good price. For some reason I buy one every time the dealer comes to my town. Bonedigger, what are you doin in the canadian forum's over here? I didnt even know you were interested in Canadian stuff!

Hey Snaz

There is always a begenning to coin collection even if it Canadian coins they are as equal interesting as to US coins and world coins.
Bonedigger may have in mind to start collecting Canadian coins you never know what goe's in the head of a collector.

Thanks for the opinions. I feel much better about this Large cent and may well add it to my type set if its still available in a couple days.
