I found these two coins in my great grandfathers collections a few months ago, I've done some research but can't find anything similar anywhere. Any info or ideas would be a great help and much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Well...Sap is leagues ahead of me on world coins. I'm just good for US IHC and Canadian die varieties, lol. Still...you're going to confuse responses with multiple posts.

Now it looks as if my Hejira date research (on another post) was deleted.
I'll let someone else do it now...

Well back to the drawing Bord, lol.....

Hay by the way Kurts can you check out the copper ottoman coin on Ottoman Libyan coins... I think I should remove them and make a new thread for the Ottoman Libyan coppers ?

123heather321,

Your coins are pysa coins, issued for the sultanate of Zanzibar, an island now included in the republic of Tanzania.
The left one is a pysa Zanzibar KM#7, with date 1304AH=1886. The right one is a pysa Zanzibar KM#1 with date 1299AH = 1881

Zanzibar? Wow! Once again, those are beautiful coins! I especially like the balance motif.
