This one has some nice detailing. Pretty sharp

What do you grade it at?

Can't see clearly but au58?

There is some spotting on the surfaces. Not able to tell if it is MS.

Lord, Steeler, yous gonna drive us NUTS with those Half Dismes!

Cutting out the background would help. It's really hard to see the details even blown up. The reverse is quite lightly struck. Not uncommon.

I'm not seeing any continual luster associated with mint state, and the top points look to have a slight rub.

55, though 58 wouldn't make me crazy. Just nuts...

LOL. By the time I'm done youll all be pro Half Dime graders. Thanks for your opinions I will go on a Half Dime haitus for a while. I will also try to get better pics of this one

It actually helps everyone with grading those little fellows, so I don't really want you to discontinue your search.

Lord knows when you finally nab them you'll have done your due diligence in educating all of us first

I cropped and enlarged to this size. It started getting blurry at larger sizes.

Still looks high AU but the pics are better but aren't sharp. Could be MS.

Thanks numismatic! The same problem occurred with me. The larger the coin became, the blurrier the image so I left it alone. This seems like a very nice coin from what I can see

Doesn't matter how much you magnify, the color is way off. It's been worked on. Out of all your searches this should be the last coin you bid on.

it was graded straight maybe market acceptable? I figure PCGS would have detailed it if it was a problem

I actually really liked this one due to the sharpness of the details so I'm happy to say I went with this one. I was happy with the price

The forum here has been a huge help with my type set. I can say I have gotten much better at grading myself due to the knowledge you all bring. Youll probably see me post soon but no more Half Dimes - music to your ears I imagine lol
