This forum doesn't have PMs. There were... privacy issues... with PM systems on some forums Bobby and Susan participated in before they founded this one, and are resolved not to have one here. Apparently, "private messages" aren't really private.

You can, however, send forum e-mails, once you reach a threshold number of posts (this is to stop spammers joining the forum and sending spam straight away). I'm not sure what the e-mail sending threshold is right now, but if you're still having difficulty, the number might be 50 posts.

Be aware that when sending an e-mail, the recipient will be able to see your e-mail address. You won't be able to find out their address until and unless they reply to your e-mail.

To e-mail someone, click on the little page-and-envelope icon at the top of every post, or click on a member's name and select "Click to send an E-Mail" from the member profile.

Sap,
Thanks for the clarification. When I saw other members sending PM I thought it was through this board. I guess the forum e-mails are the one's meant by PM.

yes most people call the email system on this site a PM when in fact it is really sending a email to the other person through the email system provided by the board
