What's your grade? Any problems that you can see? Thanks!

MS63 or 4, but not a really sharp strike.
Rest in Peace

MS62, guess the lack of fine face details is weak strike?
Rest in Peace

It would make 63, but that isn't saying much for this type, as there are plenty of higher grades easily obtainable. Most of the hits on this are in areas that stand out. If they had been hidden a bit, it would have lifted this another point.

No cleaning and no dipping, which in itself is becoming rare for CSC raw for any type.

The facial features on the reverse are so difficult to find fully struck, primarily because that is the area on the obverse that "sucked up" all the planchet. Since that isn't something most collectors look for, it gives you the opportunity to find a well struck reverse.

Agree 63, not particularly a fan of this one.

*******UPDATE*********

I sent this to ANACS last month, and the results are in:

MS-63 Straight (I had no worries there). You guys are good!

Was hoping against hope for a 64, but to be honest, this was in a basement slab, and I think (but I'm not 100% certain) I may have ever-so-slightly scratched it during the crackout, right across his cheek. I'll have to look again when the coin comes back and compare to my original pics. But, I'm happy with the 63, especially if I did scratch it!

Always happy to chime in. The FCGS (Frog Coin Grading Service) is free because it is basically worthless.

Sorry you didn't get the grade you were hoping for, but I don't think you did poorly with MS-63. The figures on the reverse appear to have a good number of marks - I believe they are the driver behind the grade.
