Hallo everyone,

I am new to this forum and I don't know were to post my question.
so as a start I will try to do it here but if somewan knows the right section to post these questions please let me know.

Its about this coin I bought yesterday.
it is a Roman BiljoenTetradrachm Aurelianus 274-275 AD
but when I search online I only get to see diffrent eagle patrens on the back also theres a E were a S should of come I think. So I am questioning the authentistie of this coin.

I'm not 100% sure (about the opposite of an expert on those coins), but IIRC that's the date. E is 5, S is 6.

I might well be completely mistaken, however.

Yes January is correct E = year 5, S = year 6

A genuine coin with the interesting lightning bolt in the mint mark.

The emperor is Crispus minted at Siscia

Note: I believe your mint mark is actually ASIS (lighting bolt), first officina. The example I posted is from the 4th officina mint mark delta SIS lighting bolt
