2013 Penny Die Crack And PMD Don't Know

I was looking at the weird markings on the 2013 reverse here thinking it was glue or something then I think I found a die crack at the bottom of the shield. then I looked again and they appeared to be attached. maybe not. thoughts please. Rich

It looks like gunk!or adhesive residue from tape! soak it in warm soapy water and wipe it off.

If that doesn't work you can always give it a soak in pure acetone (do not use fingernail polish remover as it contains other contaminants). I usually go 1/2 hour per side with no problems to the copper plating. Just pat it dry,

Yep cleaned it and found that the possible die crack was just a scratch. Thanks. I'll be more aggressive in my investigations in the future so I don't waste the good guys and gals time on here. Rich
