Hi every one I cought this owl been surching info on this Greek coin should I keep it or release it back to wild

It actually reads 'Drachmai' in Greek letters. Greeks have their own alphabet.

'N. Per' and 'I. Stin' are the initials of the engraver.

What you have here is a one year type of a Greek 2 Drachme coin from 1973, when Greece had gotten rid of their royal family and was ruled by 'the colonels'.

I can't say if this coin is worth keeping, as I don't see pictures of the whole coin, just some detail close ups. Most reasons to keep this would be subjective: because you like toe coin, for example.

The owl is, of course, copying the owl that appeared on the ancient silver coins of Athens, from roughly 500-250 BC. Original "owl" tetradrachms looked like this and typically cost around $500-$1000. The 1973 coins are much cheaper.

The same owl appears on the current Greek 1 euro coin, which reproduces the entire tetradrachm design. See example at the bottom of this page.
