I found this while coin roll hunting Penny's . I see that it must be a 2000 or up because the shield on reverse. Can anyone help? Thank you much

Shield cents are post 2009. I am not entirely sure, but I think that this may be a Dryer Coin.

I think WheatBack is right. The "mushiness" of the details may be the zinc corroding / oxidizing under the copper plating.

Not a error. Just a Dryer Coin that got stuck in the laundry machine. Worth only face value.

Even though it's a Dryer Coin, it's a great example of it. It would be a good idea to keep it for future references.
