Looks like a Dryer Coin.

If you toss coins into the larger pay type dryers they will bounce around on the edges.

The proverbial Dryer Coin. You haven't got a clue what it is now at all. It is a coin that's been trapped in the spaces behind the drums in commercial dryers. Turned around, smashing edges down, wearing off details. An old term is "spooning", which had a similar effect. Bored US servicemen would whack edges of quarters and halves with a spoon all around...like I said, bored...

To CCF! You have a Dryer Coin that's been in a laundry dryer for too long.

There is quite a bit of information if you click the link " Dryer Coin ".

I agree, we should take the time to explain things better instead of just identifying what they are.
