Good day. I have a few proof Silver Washington quarters tha are all Type B with the E and S separted. I have researched this the best I can and have learned about the proof dies being used on regular strike coins from 56-64.
Does anyone know if all Proof Washington quarters during this period were all Type B? I can't find the answer.

Thanks

Rich

The proof dies were reused for business strike quarters after they struck the proof coins. (3,000 coins, 6,000 strikes per die) So no business strike hubs would have been used on the proof quarters. Just the 1956-1964 quarters had the used type 'B' reverses used those years.

so if I read everything correctly all proof quarters in that timeframe are all type B with the E and S split out.

Thanks Coop
