We need full Obverse (front) and reverse (back) pictures of whole coin to see what's going on with it.

Depends on whether the devices are mirrored or looking like a die. If the reverse is normal, then it might be an altered soft die obverse? But still not able to tell what is going on from the pictures provided.

Bigger would be better. Are you shrinking them for upload?

It doesn't appear that the L & I have been affected by whatever is going on. Clearer images are needed please.
