Not that it couldn't be but with only around a few dozen found I'd say plated or polished.

It does not looks like a proof to me, unfortunately. Worth 10 cents, but keep hunting!

to CCF. Going by these pics it does not look like it. Better pics might help but the odds of it being "the one" is slim to none.

what do you mean plated or polished? what does it mean it doesn't look like a proof? It doesn't have the mints letter on it and its from 1968. the website doesn't allow me to upload high resolution photos. does anyone have more of an explanation?

In order for it to be a 'NO S' it would have to be a proof dime.

without a mint mark that year would mean it came from the Philly mint.
