I went to the bank today and picked up $40 in nickels. When I got home I noticed a roll with a Buffalo nickel reverse ended, which immediately excited me because I have only one dateless Buffalo nickel before. After opening the first couple rolls I found a 1939 and some other old jeffersons, nothing really notable. Then I opened another roll and saw a very dirty looking rim and piulled the coin out. It was a buffalo! Not only that, it turned out to be 1913 Type 1 with a fully visible date! Unfortunately the coin is pretty dirty. I also found a 2005 Confœderatio Helvetica 20 cent coin. On the last roll with the ender, it turned out to be a 1925 with a partially visible date. Then, I saw another buffalo in the roll, a 1936. I will probably return tomorrow to see if they have any more rolls. I also found a 1958 nickel with a sharp rim and a very strong strike, possibly a proof.

@wbp, those are pretty great finds. After giving that buffalo a bath in acetone, please post a pic of your newest addition to the collection!

The TD bank (where I got these rolls) is actually open on Sunday from 11:00 to 3:00. Also, Spence, I do not have any Acetone, and I was wondering where I could purchase this.
Also, sorry for not posting any pictures yet, but I have had trouble uploading photos for a while. I will try to post them as soon as possible.
Rest in Peace

Hope your good luck continues.

Pure acetone is available are hardware stores, like Ace.

Just get a little can of it and you'll need a little jar. Use it outdoors.

Nice haul!

As mentioned, pure acetone can be found in the paint section of Wal-mart or other hardware stores, usually Klean Strip brand in a quart size.

I use small, 4 oz wide-mouth mason jars to soak coins. Don't use a plastic container! If you want, you can insert a paper towel on the jar bottom to avoid any scratches from the glass. For circulated coins, I also use acetone soaked q-tips (w/ paper sticks) for any mechanical gunk removal that may be necessary.

Looking forward to pics!

Ok, so I went to the bank a little while ago. Unfortunately, the only had $20 in nickels, and that was in CWR. I only found three old jeffersons and a one peso from Mexico. On the last roll, an S mint buffalo fell out reverse side up. Unfortunately, the obverse is covered in some sort of gross gunk, covering the date. Hopefully I will be able to get some of the goop off.
Another interesting thing is that I also got $20 in CWR dimes. In the first roll I opened, I found 4 1970 dimes (these were the only ones throughout the rest of the rolls as well). Out of those four, three were FS-901 (reverse of 1968 S proof)! Along with that, I found a 5 (cent?) coin from Switzerland (the same Helvetica one from yesterday's nickels).

Update: the buffalo is actually a 1919 S, you can just barely make out part of the 1.
