I have a hard time grading Peace dollars... My problem is always in the same spot and I always tend to undergrade. I look at the feathers on the right hand side... To me those look to show a little wear and if that's true then the coin has to be at best AU, but I've had dealers tell me that a coin I thought was XF was borderline 60... So go figure.

I just completed my Peace set last month. I took it in to a dealer to have him help me grade. There were a couple that I had listed as AU that were UNC, a couple that I had as XF that were AU, etc...

It was nice to find out that my 28 and 21 were both UNC... I had them both as XF (and had paid XF prices (10 years ago) for them).

The problem with grading Peace dollars is their usually weak struck which makes them appear circulated. This coin is a rare well struck coin.I believe it to be MS62 possibly ms63 depending how deep the hit on Miss Liberty's face is.Eagles feathers are sharp.

Great example of a well struck Peace dollar.
