This medal looks old but I know nothing of this medal. For an islamic medal it has a strange star. The form of this star is ancient and is called Mesopotamian eight-pointed star symbol (otcogram) of the goddess Ishtar.
Who can help me with the translation of the Arabic text on this medal? Who can tell me about the age of this medal? What was it used for?
Thanks you for any answers.

It is a "belly dance" costume coin.

Thank you for your answer. If it is a "belly dance" costume coin shouldn't there be a hole in it?
I should have told you before but the size of the "coin" is 46.3mm and the weight is 27.6g.

Design on one side is similar to this coin: https://www.NGCcoin.com/price-guide...duid-1292305

However this is probably just a coincidence rather than a lead. I agree that it's not likely to be a belly dancer coin based on size, style and the aforementioned lack of a hole or mounting.

Thanks for this interesting lead. I see the similarity but I understand that I have to do a lot more research. So far it is great that there is movement in resolving this mystery. We do it step by step.

I found more detailed information on this site:
