1845 British East India 1/4 Cent, Queen Victoria, Cracked Die Through Bust

I thought that perhaps some of the UK collectors might find this one interesting.

It's a 1/4 cent copper coin of 18mm and 2.3g. Issued for the Straits Settlements (as British East India), it features a slightly modified version of Wyon's first Young Head Victoria bust on the obverse, and the denomination of 1/4 cent surrounded by a wreath on the reverse.

While not a particularly uncommon coin with 34m minted, this particular coin is quite interesting; the obverse dies were apparently quite near the end of their life, resulting in a very prominent series of obverse die breaks which result in the bust appearing to have been impaled or "spiked." A smaller crack is also present of the reverse.

It could probably use a bit of a long soak to dissolve some of the accumulated reverse grime, but the obverse is more presentable.
