It's been a good week for older coins: found this 1951-D Wheat cent in change and then got a 1939 Jefferson nickel back from the coke machine. Up for grading a pocket change find? I don't know what's up with the reverse.

I'll take a shot in the dark:

VF-30 with struck-through grease reverse.

I'd think it's more like in the Fine range: lots of wear. Reverse could be a "struck through" or just bad strike.
Rest in Peace

Heavily circulated coin with lots of ding dongs . I'll say a Greaser reverse .
Rest in Peace

FN-15. Agree with possible Greaser. But I don't think it makes much difference, other than the fun of trying to identify.

I could see VF30. Facial features are still pretty bold. Lightly struck area is a common place to over polish the die.

VF-35, the reverse weakness is in a common area due to not enough metal filling the die.

I was thinking around VF20 so it's interesting to see the results. It's going in my "1951 PDS circulated" Wheat tube, but it's still nice to find these in change now and again.
