Hello,
I think that this Morgan is a VAM 6, but I'm not sure. It has the near date, it has the O tilted to the right, it has the designers M in her hair. I think that it has the doubling on her ear. I might have missed some. What are you guys thoughts on this coin. Thanks

It's not a micro o it's a medium O so that puts it somewhere around VAM-10 or VAM-27.

I disagree, the micro points toward the right, and the other is oval.

Well then, let's back up to the first step of VAMming, the date position. VAM-6 is classified as a near date, two full denticles from the bust point to the bottom of the 1 . Your Morgan is approximately 2-1/2 denticles aka normal position. This eliminates VAM-6 as a possible match. Maybe I'm not reading your reverse photo correctly but it sure looks like an oval medium O.

Dave, After looking at the number of denticles, you're right. The O is still slanted to the right, and the M is there, tho. Hmm.

I don't wish to offend, but this is plainly not a Micro O. Detail image from PCGS CoinFacts.

Check out pics of the micro o's. The center holes look like they were put into the punch with a hair pin. The O is very tiny. They were ment for Barber quarters but were accentally used on a few 1899 Morgan dies.

This is a great site to learn. Cascade and SsuperDdave are very knowledgeable when it comes to Morgan dollar VAMs and there are a few others who post occasionally as well and we all love to see other members coins.
