In order to get to EF-45 (according to the ANA Grading guide) some luster must remain and I don't see any luster in your photos. Is that a piece of lint between the N and E of ONE, or a die crack? Obverse looks even better to me but wear on the wheat stalks leaves it below AU, I think. Report this Post to the Staff

I can't tell if there's wear evident on the cheek. I must say, that ANA guide is WRONG IMO, if it requires mint luster. I've seen MANY MS grade Lincolns that were brown, I own quite a few. The grade for Lincoln's has NOTHING to do with remaining mint luster and everything to do with evident wear....end of story. Lincoln Cent Lover!
