There is a big jump in value it seems from VF20 to XF40 for example according to NGC website. Wondering also if I should have it professionally graded to get more value at resale. My concern from its overall appearance is whether it was once polished and has since mostly retoned. A grading service will tag it as a "details" coin if that's their evaluation.
