I bought some rolls of Lincolns off
ebay, and they were delivered this afternoon. Most of the coins seemed to be in pretty nice shape so I figured even if not B/U rolls I'd take a chance and see what I could find.
With all the rolls, where do you start. Well, I decided to go with 1966 since there is a great variety, and not too much else so I could scan over them pretty quickly. And then, less than 10 coins in I found a beautiful DDO-001 which looks to be in MS (brown or red brown) condition. I am tentatively calling this a stage B, as the descriptions of the stages I could find do not fit this coin all that well but it looks stronger than the stage C on VV.
Oh yeah, and there are going to be a LOT of photos in this post, to maybe make it a good post to compare the stages and get good looks at all the devices (except liberty, which does not seem affected). So, without further ado, here is what I found less than 10 coins into my new buy:

So, after I had a fine time looking over this great coin, I figured I better finish looking at the rest of the roll. And then, about 4 coins from the end, I found this wonderful stage A in, I believe, MS condition. Stunning details on the doubling. So, now that I am done having my heart attack, here is the second DDO-001 I found in the roll:

And that is what I call a pretty good Saturday night.
