Ok, here is the next in the series. This is a 1921-D which I find to be the crackiest of the Morgans I've got this one pegged as a VAM-8A

Do you agree? Remember if you're new to the exercise is to take the photos and see if you agree or if you can find another possibility...

The characteristic VAM-8 die scratch in the eagle's left wing is present but I think to qualify as 8A the break over the R needs to be fully developed. This one also lacks the development of the die crack on the eagle's left wing into a small break, although I can see it faintly.

I agree with Dave. To be 8A it must have the break off the R although this line in the VAM-8A description does make it a fuzzy area "Late die states show large die chip above R in AMERICA. (formerly 1C)"
Here's a picture of mine.

After study these images a bit it appears we have 3 different stages of the reverse die progression with SsuperDdave's being the latest.
