I'm a big movie buff. In fact, watching reruns of Dennis The Menace triggered my lifelong obsession with coins at a very young age.

Post clips of your favorite movie, sitcom, or TV shows that feature coins.

I'll start:

Try this one. The coin part actually starts about 1:50 in.

Is that even a real coin? It looks like a German 5 mark coin dated 193?. It must be from 1936-9, right?

By the way, I love X-Men stuff, so it doesn't really matter.

well, this might be a stretch, but you get just a quick glimpse of (presumably) a silver dollar Wyatt Earp (Kurt Russell) lets plop onto the table as he reaches under the table for the mounted shotgun in Tombstone:

it was the first thing I thought of i'll try to think of a better one...

heh... cool assortment of movies so far.... you know, in Casino, "mint condition coins" are mentioned a couple times, but I don't recall actually seeing any in the film.

Scene from The Dark Knight.

For those that haven't seen it, basically Harvey Dent is a man who was good, locked up thousands of criminals. He had a Peace dollar which had two obverses. He would decide specific things based on the coin flip, but the trick was, that the answer would always be heads. Eventually he ends up losing his girlfriend in an explosion, and half his face was burnt badly as you can see. He became "TwoFace" and his Peace dollar now had a scorched obverse. He would use the coin to determine who lives and who dies, as he became corrupt because of his grief. The scorched side became tails, and anyone who got the tails side would die.

Any reason to post a Tombstone clip is a good reason.

200,000 Dollars in "confederate gold" shown at 2:09, I can't see them clearly enough to make out if they used a real coin, but they obviously can't be Confederate gold coins. Though I find the legend of them interesting.

There is also the song before The Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone would fit here too even though it does not have physical coins.

...elaborating on my earlier post, I went to look into Casino again.. I didn't see any mint condition coins, but there is a scene in the casino's count-room that shows racks and racks and racks of what look like Eisenhower dollars & conveyor belts moving them along as the scene gets going... I refrain from posting a link to the scene itself due to blue language, but I included screenshots below...

I do not know how to take a clip form a movie so I posted a link to the entire film on YouTube. I hope that is okay.
Fast Forward to 6:57 and behold an amazing coin room/vault/coin cabinet. I would love something like this in my home (but it would take up way too much space.
