Look up online for that date, your " trust" looks just like that one but the date is also dd, not sure with your pics.

Look on coppercoins.com and doubleddie.com. Your coin might match 1935P-1DO-001. Check for the Die Markers.

w/John1, it must be MD. Only one to compare to is VarietyVista http://varietyvista.com/01a%20LC%20...5PDDO001.htm

But there is no sign of doubling on WE or real evidence of doubling on date. Clincher is the R in TRUST, the vertical bar is definitely reduced in size...MD

1935 is notorious for having a common MD that looks remarkably like DDO-001. You have to look mostly at the lower left of the letters for notches, and particularly at the whole letter E in WE to separate out the actual doubled die.

Here is an MD example from the area posted by the OP:

And here is an actual DDO-001 of the same area:

Crazy similar! Gotta look for the notches and not what looks like big doubling of the letters.

Here is the 1935P-1DO-001, DDO-001, FS-101, WDDO:

Note the doubling on the 'R' in TRUTH. The OP's coin is not a doubled die, just Machine Doubling as already mentioned. But closer images of the TRUS area might show us something we maybe missing. There is some covering of crud around the devices and we maybe not seeing what we really do need to see. So get some closer images. That may sway us.
