Paid $72.95 for this unattributed VAM-19A. How did I do?

You have shown up scuffing on the high points, which would be very difficult to see with the naked eye.
Perhaps an experienced TPGrader would see them with the assistance of a 10x loupe, which is what they normally use.

Despite this, I would still agree with the grading, but certainly no possibility of higher.

Due to their much larger size, dollar sized coins at MS64 have to be much rarer than MS64 dime sized coins. From what I understand, graders do not take the size of the coin into account.

I have zero experience in how to pick fake slabs, (I have never trained myself), so I will assume genuine.

Therefore the cherry pick is good, and at the price I say:
You did well, - congratulations !

It's a reference to a term from the TV show Big Bang Theory, used by Sheldon, one of the show's stars, when he springs a joke on other characters.

It is a very popular variety, and was purchased for something around a third of retail value. There aren't many at this grade or better. Joke's on the seller.

JJuliano, does this coin have the die crack at the point of the neck, and through OF? I don't see them in your pics.

SsuperDdave - Yes on the die crack through the neck though not at the point. No on the die crack through OF.

Why do you ask? Is the attribution different?

Nope, just a little curiosity regarding die progression and emissions sequence. Yours is proof that the reverse crack happened rather later than the one through the neck, and that VAM-22 is the later of the two uses of that reverse since there are VAM-19's known with that crack at OF.

This is VAMming.
