Hey all,

Was just wondering if there are any known die markers besides the dot of course to match up with suspected dot coins? I have 1 in particular that shows no visible dot the naked eye and is even very faint under 10x magnification, but at 30x magnification with a light it becomes quite visible. This one has a dot along with several other smaller ones. Any thoughts on this quarter? TIA

No good...the dot must be noticeable at the bottom right side of the 7..kind of where the maple leaf is actually found..

This one doesn't qualify as a dot coin in my opinion.

Ok, thanks all. I figured I'd better ask before writing it off as just a nice unc 47. So basically the 47 dot quarter is pretty much the same as the nickel as far as visibility then?

Here is a photo of a 47 "Dot" Quarter.
I rotated it and sized it the same as your photo for comparison.
As you can see, your quarter shows nothing in the right area.

Not a "dot" and the surface looks very scratched from cleaning. Those are not die polishing marks.
