It has spent all that time probably in a change jar or in some other collectors hoard that just got spent recently by someone that didn't know any better. Just because a 50 year old coin is found in circulation doesn't mean that it has actually been circulating for 50 years. Report this Post to the Staff

Not much chance that this coin would have survived 50 years of passing through peoples hands without someone noticing the clip. Possibly a result of Susie making a raid on Grandma's piggy bank.
